Shingleback Wine is a family owned company known for handcrafting rich, fruit forward wines of exceptional quality and character, primarily from fruit grown on their McLaren Vale vineyard. Brothers Kym and John Davey (co-owners and managing director / winemaker respectively) planted their estate vineyard on land their Grandfather purchased in 1959.

Since Shingleback debuted with the 1998 vintage, the wines have earned significant acclaim both within Australia and internationally. Recent show highlights include winning the 2006 Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy, arguably the most important Trophy on the Australian Show circuit, being named 'Overseas Producer of the Year' at the Mundus Vini International Wine Awards (Germany in 2007 and 2008, and being ranked as a 5 Star winery in James Halliday's Australian Wine Companion in 2008 and 2009.
